We believe in God. We believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God and that His message of love, hope and self-sacrifice will save us both in this life and the next. We believe in life after death spent in the everlasting embrace of God’s love. We believe in what we call the Sacraments, rituals, or waypoints in life, that intensify our sense of God. We believe that we have a unique encounter with God when we go to Mass and receive Communion – and that this is a profound experience of God’s real presence.
We believe that we begin to experience God’s love in our love for each other. We believe it is our special duty to radiate God’s love to whomever we meet. We believe that we find God in a special way in the poor, the deprived, the abandoned and the disabled. If we really mean it when we say we love God, we will make this love real to those who are most marginalised.
We accept that we are sinners. But we believe that no-one is beyond the reach of God’s love. Our church encourages us to reconcile ourselves with God when we fall short, and to start over.
We are a community of people who are trying to deepen our love of God and we draw encouragement from each other. We welcome wholeheartedly all who would join us in our journey towards God’s love.
