St Mary’s propossed changes to Admission 2026-27
St Mary’s Catholic Primary School is a Catholic Voluntary Aided School in the Diocese of Westminster. It is in the trusteeship of the Diocese. The school is conducted by its Governing Body as part of the Catholic Church in accordance with its Trust Deed and seeks at all times to be a witness to Jesus Christ. The school exists primarily to serve the Catholic community and Catholic children always have priority of admission. However, the Governing Body welcomes all applications, particularly from those of other denominations and faiths who support the religious ethos of the school.
The Governing Body proposes to update the admission arrangements to remove the certificate of catholic practice as an oversubscription criteria and to update the supplementary information form (SIF) accordingly. This consultation is for the attention of:
1. Parents of children between the ages of two and eleven years old;
2. Other persons in the area who have an interest in the proposed arrangements;
3. All other admission authorities in the local area;
4. The local authority (London Borough of Hounslow);
5. Any adjoining neighbouring local authorities; and
6. Any relevant faith bodies (e.g. the Diocese of Westminster).
The consultation period is open for a period of 6 weeks of term time from Tuesday, 26 November 2024 to Tuesday, 21 January 2025 and comments should be submitted in writing to: Kathy Collis, St Mary’s Catholic Primary School, Duke Road, Chiswick, London, W4 2DF
Alternatively you can email the school at: bursar@stmarys.hounslow.sch.uk
Following the consultation period all submitted comments will be considered at a governors’ meeting and the final arrangements will be published on the school website and submitted to the local authority between 28 February 2025 and 15 March 2025.
